Airbus collaborates with Pagani to design futuristic cabin for its corporate jets

Airbus introduced the incredibly plush interiors to its new corporate jet range at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition which was designed in collaboration with Italian hypercarmaker Atelier Pagani Automobili.
The luxurious new cabin design for the ACJ319neo, called Infinito, showcases the same level of detailing and luxury that can be found in a Pagani hypercar. But the center piece of the cabin is its sky ceiling, which displays a live view of the sky above the aircraft on the ceiling of the cabin. It creates a feeling of airiness and space inside the aircraft and thus truly lives up to the name Infinito, which means infinity in Italian.

“Art and Science can walk together hand in hand: this is the Pagani philosophy,” says Horacio Pagani, founder & Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili SpA. “The combination of state-of-the-art composite materials never used before in an aircraft, such as carbon-titanium, with the typical design language of Pagani Automobili, has always represented our signature. Applying our renaissance touch into the wider spaces of Airbus corporate jet cabins is the beginning of an exciting new venture for us.”

Pagani’s design team created the initial Infinito design, including its look and feel, while Airbus Corporate Jets’ designers contributed their experience in aircraft design and compatibility. “In bringing together the best of the supercar and business jet worlds, we enable an elegant and seamless link for customers of both, while bringing a fresh approach to cabin design and satisfying very demanding standards,” says Airbus corporate jets managing director Benoit Defforge. Based on the next-generation Airbus A319neo, the ACJ319neo can fly eight passengers up nearly 7,800 miles or 15 hours non-stop. The pricing of the Airbus A319neo starts at $99.5 million which excludes the cost of the Infinito interior.
